Mt. Rundle and Vermillion Lakes in Fall, Banff National Park
The Vermillion Lakes that frame the foreground of Mt. Rundle are a series of three lakes in Banff National Park at the foot of Mount Norquay. A hot spring is found at the third lake and the slopes at the edge of the lakes are a popular grazing area for mountain sheep and elk.
The light that hits Mt. Rundle and the Vermillion Lakes is always changing, making it exceptionally dramatic and one of my favourite spots to shoot.
